"If you do something wrong long enough, it's no longer a mistake - it's a style."
some final words...
Paul booth...
A lot of you
here in the
states may
already have
gotten wind of
this, But for
those of you
that haven't I
regret to
inform you
that Sailor
Moses has
passed away. I
decided to
post this page
to kind of say
"goodbye" in
my own way.
Unfortunately
when an icon
such as
Moses dies,
It's amazing
how many
"close
friends" come
out of the
woodwork. I
mention this
not so much
to talk shit
about all the pretentious people in the world but to let you know I'm
not one of them. This is not some ploy to make everyone think I'm
swell. Moses and I were not close friends but we were definitely
friends, nonetheless. When I came on the scene, There were some
that thought I was just some punk kid, And there were some that I
guess, saw that I was sincere. Whatever it was, Moses was one of
the latter. Simply by his openmindedness and his incredible love for
Tattooing, Moses played a big role in the evolvement of my respect
for the oldtimers in this industry. To me, Moses was sorta like the
missing link between the old and the new. An old school wisdom
coupled with a new school energy. You'd see Moses at EVERY
show workin his butt off and producing work as it should be
produced. Early on in My career, Moses invited me to visit him in
Biloxi. How could I refuse! Aside from having a great time and
learning some new Tattoo tricks... I was given the honor of
Tattooing Moses himself! I still remember glowing when he asked
me to Tattoo him. The thought of an icon such as Moses wanting a
piece from me was a truly great feeling. I wish I could've expressed
that to him better. I will always hold Moses in the highest regards
and I will surely miss him. - Paul Booth
