Beer Review: Maccabee
I found my first taste of Israeli beer to be boring. Like most Middle Eastern beers I have tried, it was light (as it should be with the local flavors); however, I found this beer too light. Perhaps a truly kosher beer or perhaps a compliment to matzo balls, this beer does taste better filtered than others in that region. One of their latest television ads for their product exemplifies Israel’s attempt to incorporate beer into mainstream Jewish culture. "Be a little of this and a little of this be an Israeli. Maccabee beer small country, great beer". I will pass on my next Maccabee. -- Dopplebock
