The F-4J/S Phantom II in the USN Reserve and USMC Reserve
As with many of the F-4 pages, this one will be a work in progress for some time. I will upload photos to begin with and then at a later time add comments.
VMFA-112 Cowboys
The Cowboys were
the last combat Navy/Marine squadron to operate the F-4 Phantom
II when the unit gave up the F-4S 18 January, 1992.
The F-18A Hornet then became the mission
aircraft, a role that continues to the present.

VMFA-134 Hawks
The VMFA-134 Hawks transitioned
from A-4F Skyhawks to F-4S Phantoms in
October 1983. The F-4 remained until 1991 when
replaced by the F-18. VMFA-134 stood down 1 April, 2007.

VF-201 Hunters
The Hunters operated the F-4S from
1984 until transitioning to the F-14A in 1987. A
further transition to the F-18 happened in 1999, but the
unit was deactivated in 2007.
