To use AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) on Dreamcast you must first go to the Server. Then you will have to wait a little for it to login to the server, and then you will get a bunch of rules...
The Server is: soweird.mine.nu
The Port # is: 6667
When typing this in the url bar type this:
pwchat://soweird.mine.nu:6667
Now when you are logged in t the server and all the rules and other info have stopped scrolling type the following:
/msg aimserv signon screenname password
Of course screenname being your screenname and password being your password! Now once you are logged on you need to join the room aimirc-screenname, to do this type the following:
/join #aimirc-screenname
Of course screenname being your screenname! AimServ should enter the room if not just type:
/msg aimserv ?
To talk to someone not on your Buddy List type:
add screenname
This time screenname means the screenname of the person your trying to contact. To talk to these people click on th whisper option on the sidebar to the left of the screen!
For additional help type:
help
If aimserv is not in the room you must type:
/msg aimserv (Then the command) i.e.:
/msg aimserv add screename
Then AimServ should return to the room.
If you want to use your buddy list type:
/msg aimserv help buddies
