Randy Case /On To You Now
Neophyte regional recording artists strut their stuff
The title track--featuring nifty roadhouse piano fills courtesy of Tom Witkowski--matches the trademark charging energy of Skynyrd with the rock'n'roll exuberance of Bob Seger. The seamless guitar interplay of Angerosa and Case playing lead and rhythm makes for the kind of high-flying audio assault that lifts even the most lethargic rockers off their bar stools and onto their feet. A harder rock edge (Angerosa doing Hendrix?) cuts into the guitar attack on "The Days of Mr. Greed," while the much gentler, mid-tempo-ed "She's Got the Power" sounds like something lifted from a Neil Young or Boz Scaggs album.
