Backstreet makes it 5; 'Wild West' guns blaze
MIAMI -- Despite strong showings by Sarah McLachlan and the soundtrack to "Wild Wild West," there is no stopping Backstreet Boys, who retain the top spot at the nation's retailers for a fifth consecutive week. During the week ending June 20, Backstreet Boys' "Millennium" moved 338,000 units, down from the previous week's 371,000, according to ScanSound figures obtained from industry sources. The album has scanned 2.9 million units since its release and has not fallen from No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The soundtrack to "Wild Wild West," featuring Will Smith and other top R&B-rap acts, makes the year's highest soundtrack debut, bowing at No. 4 on sales of 215,000 units.
