My name is Denise Whisenant. I am fairly new to genealogical research, but
I have been bitten by the bug! This page is still under construction, so

Currently I am trying to track down the Moore family ancestors who lived
in Bibb and Jefferson Counties, Alabama, in the 1870-80's. W. C.
Moore b. 2/4/1858, d. 11/29/1884, buried in Creel Family Cemetery in
Morris, AL. He married Martha Virginia Creel. Martha Virginia Creel's
brother,Early Creel, married Julia Moore. Trying to find out if Julia
and W. C. Moore are brother and sister. Also trying to find out who their
parents were. After W. C. Moore died, Martha Virginia Creel married his
cousin, John R. Moore, also of Jefferson County, AL.
W. C. Moore and Martha Virginia had 3 children, Charles, Lillie, and
M. C. (my grandfather). M. C. Moore married Matilda Skelton in Palmer,
Ellis County, Texas, and then moved to Coleman County, Texas. In 1922,
they moved their family to Yuma County, AZ where M. C. farmed and worked
as a carpenter. Many of their descendants still live in the area.
