Neverland
Did you ever wish you had a place Where you could go to hide? Did you ever wish for a Neverland To which you could fly? Where troubles, woes, and tragedies Melt to nothing in the rain Where sunshine stirs the memories That make you young again If you search the deepest parts Of your older troubled mind You'll find you have a Neverland Buried under time You used to go there as a child And knew the way so well But you forgot how to fly so long ago That when you tried you fell You can still get to your Neverland Even if you forget to fly Just close your eyes and think of things That bring pleasures to your mind Relax your way down the path If you try too hard its lost Slow and steady is the way To the dreamy joy of your past The rain falls soft upon the path To melt your cares away See that rainbow down below You know it leads the way To the wonder of carefree times You left behind too long To a place where you are free to dance And play and sing a song We all know the famous Neverland With pirates and lost boys But you will not find them here Unless they were with your toys For we each have our own Neverland And they're as different as can be We each follow a different path Our imagination is the key So come back as often as you can To this near and distant place And soon you will find that the time Has eased the tensions from your face And the soreness in your back And the cares from your mind And the visits will do you wonders If for precious little time
