DOLLS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

This issue of The Black Doll E-Zine features a delightful doll vignette, "The Littlest Angel,"  produced and written by Margaret Rogers, who is well known for her delightful doll vignettes.

Sarah (left) says to Lonnie (right):

"Sawah, mys hab da stwanges dweam wast night."

(Sarah, I had the strangest dream last night.)

Lonnie tells about his dream...

"Dis angwel tum to bisit mys."

(An angel came to visit me.)

The others want to hear

"Wonnie, we want to hewr dis tory"

("Lonnie we want to hear the story")

And so Lonnie tells them all

"Dis angwel say mys donna hab a sissa."

(The angel said I'm going have a sister.)

Candice is shocked
"Oh mys, anobber sissa???"

(Oh my, another sister???)

 Kenny said...

"Mys finks she a bid dirl... wike a dinosaur."

 (I think she's big like a dinosaur.)

Jamar said...

"My fink she id bewtiful wike mys over sissa's!"

(I think she's beautiful like my other sisters.)

The angel appears to all...

"Huh... wat dat?  Oh my doodness!!"

(Huh, what's that, oh my goodness!!)

The Angel speaks:
"Hello little ones, don't be afraid..."

The Angel's News:                              Angelina Arrives:

"I have wonderful news,                    "Don't be afraid Angelina

your new sister has arrived."             (Little Angel), your brothers

                                                      and sisters are waiting."

Angelina tells her story:

"Mys was libbin in the cwouds, and den I tame here."

(I was living in the clouds, and then I came here.)

The others welcome her...

"We do happy to hab you for our sissa!"

(We're happy to have you as our sister.)

The angel's work is done.
So she flies away wiping the tears from her eyes.

The End
