A never-ending work in progress
We make our soap from a recipe handed down several generations, and taught by my grandmother and great-aunts. The only modification made has been switching from animal fat to a blend of vegetable oils, and a slight adjustment of ingredient ratios due to true saponification factors - something Gram and the great-aunts didn't have at the time.
Our soap is really something special; luxuriously rich, with mounds of lather and a clean, natural feeling after rinsing. It is extremely mild and gentle, and can be used on hair as well as skin....babies as well as adults.
We use ONLY pure, natural essential oils and/or pureed herbs to scent/color our soaps. Our "Cascade Mountain Rain", for example, is a blend of wildflower essential oils with evergreen essential oils and is one of our best sellers.
