Physical Description:
Lanra stands 5 foot 8 and weighs near 140 pounds. Her straight brown hair is
cut to just above the ear, giving her a tomboyish look. She tends to work out
a lot, and so her body is composed mostly of muscle. Facial features are
somewhat sharp, with a slightly pointed chin, defined cheekbones, and a
somewhat pointed nose, all of which surround her pale blue eyes. She has a
large scar on her upper left arm from falling and scraping up her arm with she
was younger. Her skin is a light to medium brown, and she has little in the
way of curves, which encourages her boy-like appearance. Her outfits generally
consist of breeches and loose tonics with boots. More than once, she has been
mistaken at a quick glance for a boy.
Abilities, Strengths, Weaknesses:
Lanra is fairly strong for a female, since she likes to work out a lot. She
also is typically very sure of herself. But she tends to get a bit flustered
around pretty girls, especially those who are very girlish.
Personality:
Lanra typically appears to be a self-centered person, but she doesn't really
care what people think of her. While she will do something and act like it's
all of her, often times, it's for someone else. She just doesn't like the
feeling of making herself vunulable by letting other people know there are
people important to her that she will do almost anything for. She doesn't have
many friends, but those who are her friends know her well enough to know much
of her harsh words are just an act. When around those who she cares for, she
often takes a very concerned role, trying to make sure they are taken care of
and well. She also tends to have a bit of a wandering eye, and likes to look
at a lot of other girls, but would never leave her Weyrmate, and does nothing
more than look.
History:
Growing up in the weyr, Lanra was highly undisturbed by many of the things
that the Holdbred had trouble with when they come to the Weyr: the dragons,
the frequent switching of partners, the open sexuality. But while these things
didn't bother her, she just didn't feel right around the other Weyrbrats, and
often secluded herself. Her sharp tongue made it so she didn't have many
friends by the time she became a candidate.
While a candidate, Lanra bumped into a Hold girl who had been searched. The
stubborn blond refused to believe that Lanra was really so harsh as she made
it seem, and eventually worked her way in as Lanra's friend. The friendship
was somewhat strained, however, as in her early teens, Lanra figured out she
had no interest in boys what-so-ever. She had an interest in pretty and
feminine girls, specifically, her friend Thylia. She didn't want to act on
that however, as she figured Thylia, being Holdbred, would not understand it.
It was much better to remain friends than to drive a wedge between them.
Still, Lanra tended to get embarrassed and flush around Thylia.
When they were 16, Lanra and Thylia both impressed in the same clutch. Lanra
impressed a blue named Wylath and Thylia impressed a green named Sageth. The
two went through Weyrling classes, and became close friends, although Lanra
never acted on her interest toward Thylia or any other girl, as she was afraid
Thylia wouldn't understand and not want to be friends anymore. It was helpful
that Weyrlings weren't supposed to have an action with other people in more
than a friendship way anyway, since the young dragons didn't understand it.
After graduation, Lanra and Thylia were hanging out in the weyr when the
inevitable finally happened and Sageth woke from her nap to rise. The first
dragon after the green was the blue Wylath. Perhaps he was acting on his own
desire to catch the green, perhaps he was acting on the influence of his rider
for the green's rider, but whatever the reason, Wylath came out the victor of
the flight.
After the flight, Lanra expected her friendship with Thylia to be over, but
she her surprise, Thylia wasn't mad at her. Confused was a better word. It
turned out that Thylia didn't regret what happened during the flight, and
actually enjoyed it. After several conversation, Lanra figured out that Thylia
was really interested in girls, but had buried that under the teaching of the
hold that she was supposed to be interested in boys. Lanra made it her
personal duty to help Thylia under stand what she was feeling.
Eventally, Thylia understood the situation, and both girls realized that will
all their time spent together, they cared about each other. About that point,
Lanra and Thylia moved into a Weyr together, and have been weyrmated ever
sense.

Physical Description: Wylath is near 29 feet in length, putting him on the
larger end of the blue scale. He has large wings, and is a powerful flier,
although not very manoverable and doens't hold the stamnia of say, a bronze.
Personality: A very laid back dragon, Wylath will take most things in stride.
The one thing he does not take in stride however, is when any male dragon
begins to take an interest in Sageth. He is overprotective to the point of
obessiveness, extra so when she is near to rising.
PET INFORMATION
Lanra doesn't actually own her own pet, but often considers Thylia's feline to
be hers.
