Physical Description:
At fifteen, Nephele is developing nicely, making her fairly attractive. Her height is about 5'4", although it seems like she might still sprout up another inch or two. Although she was thin and lanky for most of her life, her body now seems to have filled out some through puberty, giving her a set of curves in the right places. Nephele wears her pale blonde hair long, often employing her sister to help her put it up in some fancy style or another, if possible. She has clear blue eyes identical to her twin's and very similar to their older brother's. Her facial features aren't too bad, although they tend to lean a little toward plain, but overall, she appears to have become quite attractive.

Abilities, Strengths, Weaknesses:
Nephele has become a bit of a wild child. Perhaps her biggest strengths would be her free spirit, determination, and the ability to be herself no matter what anyone else thinks. However, her biggest weakness definately has to be taking these things too far. Her free spirit means that she is typical to do what she wants, when she wants, the determination has become a stubbornness that is nearly impossible to change, and her ability to be herself no matter what anyone else thinks often results in her breaking rules and just not obeying instructions in general.

Personality:
As a child, Nephele had always been the hyper one- one to encourage everyone to take action and to do something. As she grew older, that remained the same. When she wants to do something, she does it- it doesn't matter if there are rules against it or not. Because of her rules breaking habit, Nephele often gets in trouble. But no about of getting in trouble has taught her to obey. Indeed, if you wanted her to do something, you needed to go to her twin. Nephele had some amount of respect for her twin, and would often at least consider what Velia had to say. If that failed, the only other thing to do was to go the S'dess. The only person she ever truly obeyed, even when they lived with their parents, Nephele listens to her older brother, whether she likes what he has to say or not.

History:
Being one of the youngest of seven children, Nephele spent a lot of time with her twin, Velia, and their only younger sibling, Iagan. Because of their young age, and all the work that needed to be done on the farm, Delsin and Eula didn't have as much time to spare for the children. The younger three were often ignored by their two older brothers and sister, the middle children, who did most of the work on the farm. However, the eldest, Sydess took an interest in his youngest siblings, and became sort of a parent to them, taking care of them while the rest of the family were too busy. As a result, Nephele and Velia grew up with Sydess's constant sign language, and became very fluent in what he was saying at an early age.

When the Searchrider came the the family's little house, Nephele begged for her and her twin to go with Sydess. She couldn't stand the thought of staying there alone without the one who had always been the most of a parent to her. And she couldn't go alone, because she wouldn't be able to stand it without Velia. They may have been extraordinarily different, with Nephele dragging her around all the time, but her twin was her best friend. She wanted her sister to stay with her. Velia agreed to go the Weyr because she knew that Nephele had always had an interest in the dragons, and didn't want to leave their brother. Neither did she, nor could she bare to be without her twin. So the two of them accompanied Sydess to the Weyr.

Nephele often found new ways to create mischief while were at the Weyr. On one of their walks through the forest near the Weyr, Nephele literally stumbled upon a firelizard's nest as it was Hatching. The two girls both Impressed greens, which they named after one another, reconizing that their firelizard resembled their twin's personality. The greens became helpful to the mischievous pair, as they could send them to Sydess when they got in trouble, since he could understand them with his HAD abilities. So, like many Weyrbrats, they became the typical children, spending their days wandering the Weyr, although they weren't supposed to, and playing with the dragonriders.

Also, as was typical of Weybrats, when they became old enough, Nephele and velia were presented on the Sands for Impression. There was no guarentee that the girls would Impress. After all, they weren't Weyrborn, and they themselves hadn't actually been Searched. But with a brother who was both a bronzerider and a HAD, there was the possibility, and the girls continued to show up for the Hatchings as typical candidates. In between Hatchings, they do the typical things like chores, while sharing their room in the Candidate barracks. After Nephele threw a loud tempermental fit, and even Velia objected at an attempted separation, the girls were allowed to room together. So they continue to spend their days together, waiting to see if they Impress.

Physical Description: Vely is about an average size firelizard, her hide a shade darker than most. Overall, she's pretty well balanced in build, although her tail seems a tad too long for her body.

Personality: Similar to the twin she is named after, Vely isn't the wildest firelizard at the Weyr. She does still have a tendency to get into some trouble with the typical firelizard curiousity, but overall is rather well behaved. She tends to avoid some of the large groups of firelizards, preferring to stay with either her owner, or her clutchmate, Nephy.

How did your character acquire this pet: Not too long after she arrived at Last Hope Weyr, she had been wandering through the forest with her twin, and they had stumbled, quite literaly, upon a Hatching of the little lizards. Both girls Impressed greens, naming them after each's twin.
