Arachnia
A small plane crash lands in the woods after a meteor hits nearby and unearths giant spiders. Soon the passengers find themselves battleing the giant bugs with whatever they can find for weapons. There were two things that made this movie almost too cheesy to watch. First, the spiders were done in likes ome form af claymation. I seriously expected Gumbi to jump out at some point! The ither thing was the lead character has obviously watched Army of Darkness too many times and thinks that he's Ash, complete with the red chainsaw. The only thing is this guy is no Bruce Campbell. This guy sucked as an actor. If you really like giant bug movies, check it out, but keep a sense of humor about it. 2.5 out of 5.
Characters
- Sean: A piolet who crash land his plane and passengers into a remote area with giant spiders. This guy suffers from I Want To Be The B Movie King Syndrome.
- Chandra: Personal assistant to the professor and a no nonsense kind of woman.
- Professor Mugford: Teacher flying a small group of students to a dig site. it becomes obvious that he's a real sleeze ball, and is drug off by spiders and presumed dead.
- Trina: The dumb blond of the students. Although she seems to handle herself pretty well.
- Kelly: The girl that always seems to be in peril and in need of rescuing. She has a lesbian scene with Trina too! Oh yeah.
- Deke: By far the most interesting character in the movie. He sleeps through a plane crash but can be awaken by a thrown pillow. Ripped into three pieces by spiders.
- Moses: Old farmer guy who finds the marooned group and then gets turned into a spider host. Dead.
