Day of the Dead
The greatest thing about George Romero's films is the attention to details. Like the details and differences in the zombie's wardrobes. There are some that are athletes; some in tank tops, some in uniforms, and some in band uniforms. I also liked the dead city in the beginning, with the dead plam trees, and the alligator running loose in the streets. The story is a small bunch of scientists and soilders retreat to a bunker to study zombies and try to find a way to stop them. Soon, things get hostile and confrontations occur. Good make-up and story. I give it a 4 out of 5.
Characters
- Sarah: Scientist trying to find a practical way to deal with the zombie invasion.
- John: Pilot of the helicopter. All around nice guy.
- Captain Rhodes: Royal prick that assumes control of the mission and starts pushing the scientists around.
- William: I'm not really sure what his jod was, but I assume he's a co-pilot or something. Also an alcoholic. Nice combination, huh? Says 'Mary, Jesus and Joseph' a lot.
- Miguel: Sara's boyfriend, even though they fight a lot. He's not really cut out for the whole zombie holocaust thing. Sacrifices himself to kill the assholes.
- Dr. Logan: AKA Dr. Frankenstein, because he's somewhat of a mad scientist. Blown away by the soilders.
- Bub the Zombie: Zombie that Dr Logan trains to be civil.
- Steel: Racist soilder. Chomped and blows his brains out.
- Rickles: Another asshole soilder that goes nuts and is chomped.
- Ted: Scientist with an uneven goatee. Shot in the head.

Random Thoughts and Things Learned
- Zombies like to make dramatic entrances.
- A fleet of RVs is kept in an underground military base, just in case of nuclear holocaust and the soilders want to go camping without leaving the comforts of home.
- Zombies like Stephen King.
- You would think that a group of people who were doing research on zombies for months would know to shoot them in the head, and not in the gut.
