Halloween

5 out of 5. And I'm not giving it that rating because it's a classic. I'm giving it that rating because I think it's worth it. The first Halloween movie was more of a mixture os suspence and horror rather than just straight horror like it's sequels. There was more to the story than some killer offing teens. One could interpret Michaels as death waiting in the background. Or he could be taken in the literal sense of being just a serial killer and nothing more. I think Carpenter was shooting for more of the deeper sense. When the theme music hits, it gives me chills every time. I Liked how he pinned Bob to the wall with his knife and hten he stood back and admired his hadiwork for about 10 seconds. I also liked how he stalks Tommy and Laurie in the car. Speaking of the car, how did he learn to drive? In the movie, Dr. Loomis hinted at someone teaching him. I wonder if there was anything more to that. On a different note, the box for the movie spells Myers two different ways. The other way is spelled Meyers. Intresting...
