House on Haunted Hill (1999)
A wealthy couple invites a group of strangers to spend the night in a haunted asylem for a million dollars each, if they survive. Little do they know that the asylem is truely haunted, and soon starts devouring the guests. Not everyone knows this is actually a remake of the 1958 version featuring Vincent Price. The movies are very different from each other after the first half hour. I really dug the freaky special effects and ghosts. I liked most of thecharacters as well. In fact the only ones I didn't really care for were the ones who survived. I would have liked to see more of the ghosts, but it was still decent. Oh yeah, and one of the characters is named after Vincent Price. Kinda cool. 3.5 out of 5.
