The Mangler
A laundry machine at a local factory comes to life and starts squishing the workers there. With names like Stephen King, Tobe Hooper, and Robert Englund working on this movie, I expected more. The only really cool thing about this movie was the ample gore throughout. The acting was alright, but the story didn't do much for me. It got kinda ridiculos when the machine grew arms legs, and eyes and started chaseing people. Hell, even Mangler 2 was better! 2 out of 5.
Characters:
- Bill: (Robert Englund) Crippled old guy who runs the laundry pressing factory. Mean old bastard that gets folded at the end.
- John: Sarcastic pill-poping cop who is in charge of the murder case's at the factory.
- Mark: John's friend who is a hippie and an expert in possessed machines or something. Gets ripped in half.
- Sherry: Bill's niece and sixteen year old virgin. And you now what that means... human sacrifice. Oh yeah.
- Lin Sue: Homeless girl that Bill hired and soon becomes his assistant and lover. Ewwwww! She gets mangled.
- Pictureman: Weird old photographer who works for the police department. Dies of natural causes.
- George: The foreman of the factory. George... foreman. get it?! Eh. Andway, his arm gets mangled and chopped off. Dies.
- Mrs. Frawley: Old woman who is a motherfigure for Sherry. Mangled early on.
