Mimic 3: Sentinel (2003)
A sicl;y teen spends all of his time sping into him neighbors apartments with his camera. Soon he starts to suspect that something is aloof when they start disappearing. He realizes that giant bugs are killing them one-by-one, and what? You mena the cops don't believe him?! This movie is basically Hitchcock's Rear Window with giant killer bugs. A decent amount of blood, but most of the deaths are off screen. Better than the second one but that's not saying much, now is it? 2.5 out of 5.
Characters:
- Marvin: Sickly teen who lives his life in his germ-proof room, and takes pictures of all his neighbors. In fact, he's a little creepy.
- Rosy: Marvin's semi-rebelious sister who seems to be very troubled at times. I guess living with giant insects in your neighborhood will do that to you.
- Carmen: Neighbor who kinda falls for Marvin. I'm still baffled.
- Garbageman: (Lance Henriksen!) Has a pretty limited role in the movie. Tries to capture the giant insects, but I guess you could say he failed. Sliced up by the bugs,
- Gary: Detective who is called to the building, and soon begins screwing Marvin's mother. Nice. Killed by the bugs.
- Simone: Marvin's lonley mother, who tragically gets impaled on a bugs leg.
- Desmond: Drug dealer who iss dateing Rosie. One of the sirst people to get eaten. I'm sure there's a lesson here...
The Totals:
- Body Count: 10....ish. It's hard to tell in a bloody room with random limbs.
- Weapons Used: A flare, fire and guns.
- Breast Shots: 0
- Moments where characters are mysteriously unable to run from certain death: 0
- Ominous thunderstorms: 0
- Explosions: 1
