The Thing
Wow, what a gem! I've been meaning to see this movie for years, and it was worth the wait! The story is 12 men are working in a research facility in Antartica when they are infiltrated by an alien who can assume the identity of any of them. One by one, they are picked off, and the survivors are scrambling to find the killer. This movie had a great story and acting, plus it was directed by John Carpenter while he was in his prime. In fact, I think it's his best film. See this movie! 5 out of 5.
Characters
- Mac: Burley helecopter pilot. Smartest guy in the bunch. Alive at the end, but I presume him dead.
- Blair: The main doctor of the facility.
- Childs: Paranoid man, but obviously rightfully so, since he's one of two survivors.
- Nauls: Leader of the facility. Really bad toupee. Dead.
- Clark: Big guy that seems to be in his own world. Shot in the head.
- Palmer, Norris, Bennings, Garry, Fuchs, Windows, & Dr. Copper: To tell you the truth, there's nothing terribly intresting about the rest of these people, other than they all died horrible deaths.
