Tremors 4: The Legend Begins (2004)
In this prequel we see the beginning of Perfection Nevada along with the first encounter with the Grabloids. A so-so movie that was very campy with very little gore with most of the deaths offscreen. It was somewhat interesting to see the roots of the town on the ancestors of the characters we've grow to know and... tolerate. If you dug the series to this point, go ahead and rent it.
Characters:
- Hiram Gummer: Great ancestor of the gun slinging survivalist from the modern Temors movies. This guy is a bit of a rich pansy who has never fired a gun.
- Christine: Runs the local hotel that's going under due to everyone leaving town. She has a thing for Hiram.
- Juan: Local miner who goes through hats really quickly.
- Black Hand Kelly: Deadly gunslinger hired to kill the monsters. Acts like Clint Eastwood (cough rip off cough) until he's eaten.
- Fu Yien: Young Asian boy who learns the value of a dollar and that slingshots are useless against giant underground monsters.
- Pyong Chang: Fu's father. Owns the local general store, and nice guy.
- Lu Wan: Pyongs' uptight wife.
- Tecopa: Native American who lives in the town.
- Old Fred: Dirty old guy who gets killed.
