Urban Legend
A serial killer who murders people based on Urban Legends. A good enough idea for a movie. Add Robert Englund, some cool death scenes and some hot young stars, and a twist and you got yourself a regular box office hit. Now wether the movie will be good or not is another story. I think Rebecca Gayheart was a good choice for the role of a serial killer. Maybe I wasn't on my game that day, but I didn't see it coming. That brings me to another point in this film. I think it makes several good points about prejudice. As the audience, we naturaly assume the creepist characters to be the killers, like the stuttering gas station attendent and the creepy pale janitor. In the end, we find out that the killer is actually a preepy valley girl. A good twist, but the story lacked punch and mood. A solid 3 out of 5.
