Lewis Boat Works: Custom Boat building and Plans

A Quick and Dirty Sailboat/Rowboat

Day 2

Was able to get about 1/2 hrs worth of work in and managed to layout the rest of the side panels. I decided to use the center piece left over from cutting the other panels. It was just the right size.

Used the same process as the other panels and cut these out. With luck, I will be able to layout and cut the transom tomorrow. I might even be able to start gluing things together.

The next day:

Transom laid out and ready to be cut.

And the final product. Though I didn't do it that way, the transom will come out of the same sheet of ply as the side panels, along with the material for the butt blocks. Wonderful thing, nesting. On to the assembly area, the basement at work.
