Daydreamers

In the middle of the day,
Their brains wander aimlessly.
All their thoughts turn blank,
And they begin to imagine.
They dream about such things
As feelings and emotions,
Problems or solutions.
Their now helpless minds
Are brought to a different dimension.
They are daydreamers.
Often, not even knowing
How it happens,
Daydreamers let their minds soar.
Across the waters
Of a deep blue ocean,
Over the mountain tops
Glistening with snow.
Wherever their mind takes them,
That is where they must go.
No longer do they have any control,
Any power, any strength,
Against their thoughts.
But if you pay much attention
To a daydreamer,
You will notice that they are
The nicest and most free people
You will ever know.
The controlling thoughts they think,
The demanding power they take,
It all turns to good if
You give it a chance.
Daydreamers,
The people with open hearts,
Open minds, and open souls.
The best known people alive.
Though they may not seem like
They’re paying attention to you,
They are learning a lot more
Than you could ever teach them
Within their daydreaming thoughts.
