Mass Media: 1. Papers are considered LONG TERM PROJECTS and the due dates are FIRM. Even if you have an EXCUSED ABS, you paper will still be considered LATE if it is turned in after the due date! 3. ALL NOTES must now be taken in the Cornell Notes style. ** YOU WILL NOW HAVE TO TURN YOUR NOTES IN EVERY DAY AT THE END OF CLASS TO RECEIVE YOUR VIEWING/PARTICIPATION POINTS. If you do not take good, detailed notes, you will not receive full credit for the day. You need to make sure that you click on your class link and that you are looking at 'Spring Semester'. These links are aqua in color. Look to your class links for due dates on projects, tests and papers... it is your responsibility to keep on top of these. Paper due dates are firm and considered long term projects = even if you are gone (no matter the reason), you must get them to me on the due date. REMINDER: If you have an unexcused abs., you CANNOT receive credit for assignments or tests until it is excused. Keep in mind that all things that are light purple/pinkish and underlined are links to important documents. When in doubt, ask, or simply place the mouse cursor over the underlined portion and click... if nothing happens, it was not a link... if you are taken to another location on the website, there you go. Self Evaluations need to be in the following format and should be an essay, NOT a bulleted list (these will ALWAYS be due the class after you give a speech)... 1. One typed page 2. Double Spaced 3. Times New Roman font 4. 12 point font 5. 1 inch margins 6. 3 things you think you did well 7. 3 things you think you did not do well 7. Specific things you plan to do to improve for the next assignment. THESE ARE DUE THE NEXT CLASS AFTER YOU PRESENT... I WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM LATE. If you have been absent, you need to do two things: 1. First check out the website to see what you have missed; it is very detailed and should be your first line of defense. 2. If you are confused, come in and clarify with me during ACCESS. FYI ~ This Page will be your guide and key to success. You are responsible for checking this site daily... if you don't have access to a computer at home, you will need to make daily trips to the school library.
