Won Intercontinental Title from Chyna at Armageddon, Dec. 12, 1999; was named co-Intercontinental Champion WITH Chyna by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley in early January 2000; beat Chyna and Hardcore Holly at the Royal Rumble on January 23, 2000 to become sole Intercontinental Champ; won European Title from Kurt Angle in a triple threat match also involving Chris Benoit at WrestleMania on April 2, 2000 (by pinning Benoit), only to lose it the following night on RAW to Eddy Guerrero due to Chyna turning against him; won WWF World Title from Triple H on RAW on April 17, 2000, only to have it stripped away 18 minutes later due to Triple H's threatening referee Earl Hebner with bodily harm if the official didn't reverse the decision.

Won the IC Title from Chris Benoit on SmackDown on May 4, 2000; won Intercontinental Title from Chris Benoit at the Royal Rumble on January 21, 2001; won WWF Tag Team Title with Chris Benoit against Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin on RAW on May 21, 2001; became the first WWF Undisputed Champion, beating both Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock at Vengeance in Dec. 2001.He held the Undisputed Title from December 9th until WrestleMania X8,when he was accompanied to the ring by his opponent,Triple H's wife,Stephanie.At Judgement Day 2002,Jericho faced Triple H in a Hell in the Cell match.Though he lost he gained more backstage respect for being in that brutal type of match.
