All students need to have their supplies by September 10th.
It is important that students wear the proper attire for the comfort and
safety of the children and our staff.
Drama students are given the opportunity to explore many avenues of
theatrical performance. Not only do they learn the basics of acting, they
enjoy entertaining one another with pantomime, improvisation and a variety
of creative theatre activities. Older students also learn about the history
of theatre by reading and performing in scenes from plays from specific
periods of theater history.
Singing- We have three levels of singing classes. All students begin in
singing with focuses on singing technique, and choir work. Voice is an
introduction to solo work and harmonies. Our performance choir is developed
in this class.
Piano, drum, and guitar classes are our general music classes were students
begin to read music, music fundamentals and basic music history. Piano
students are required to purchase Bastien Piano Basics, Piano Primer level.
(Stockdale music - tell them you are from E3 at the Garden and you will get
a discount) Keyboard and drums pads and sticks are provided for the
students. Guitar students must purchase a guitar and guitar case. Children sized
guitars are available at Busker’s Music on Chester. Guitar students also
need 1 set of nylon strings, a half dozen picks and a guitar tuner/tuning
pipe.
The girls only ballet program introduces the basics of ballet technique and
vocabulary. As the students progress they are moved into higher-level
classes were they begin point work. Classes include barre work, center work
and across the floor combinations. Emphasis is placed on alignment,
musicality and muscle control the dancers must were a leotard with stockings
or shorts, and ballet shoes. Hair needs to be tied up. High-level students
must were back leotard and pink tights.
Ballet: Ballet shoes, Hair pulled back, solid color leotard, and you r pick
tights, solid color stretch pants or shorts.
Tap classes begin with basic barre exercises and continue with the basic tap
steps; shuffles, flaps, time steps, pullbacks and wings. The boys and girls
then continue with combinations, which are combined with the basic steps
into routines the students learn and perform during the school year. All
tap students need tap shoes. Please see your tap instructor if you have
questions about apparel or shoes.
Tap: tap shoes, comfortable clothing but not skirts or dresses.
Gymnastic students develop muscle strength, flexibility and coordination
through floor exercises, balance beam, springboard and vault. United States
Gymnastics Federation equipment is used in all our classes. Gymnasts need
comfortable loose clothing
Gymnastics, cheer leading & karate: T-shirts, shorts or sweats or
acceptable, old soccer jerseys or shorts also work well.
We recommend that students bring a duffle bag to keep their attire in.
Their bags can stay with us through the week and be picked up on Fridays to
be washed.
