"by tiny satellites "

All human beings warp space
           even human beings
           are being orbited
           by tiny satellites
           reflecting information
           giving us light when
we turned our back to it
I told my right hand
           what the left was doing
           by bouncing it off
           a moon and back
           in two seconds flat
angels of God
guarding over me
simply because my being
pulled them in
and my being
is thanks to God
who exists
it's obvious
when you look at all this
because He is all of this
           where do you think
           He got the energy
           to create all of this
           we're shedding off his fingertips
           as a result
of some situation similar to this existence in which we exist

"so fast I swear"

mason jars and candy bars
on a motionless lake
the trees and tiny things
that God helped create

we chewed with our mouths open
for every one to see
talking about fishing
being a bore of misery

we played tag in the fields
Jesse Lawerence had these wheels
his feet moved so fast I swear
he passed and the grass had healed

momma don't kill the spider
the spider keeps the bugs away
and daddy smashes them lasses
to this very muggy day

can i go out to the lake
i've been a good boy all day
no, momma, i'm not
thinking 'bout runnin' away

"surely come"

laid on my back on concrete streets
I know beauty will surely come
at least it does
where I come from

all awful alienation
shines like fluorescent lights beaming
while they're dreaming
and I'm seeming

to be something I can't see
blind as I will surely be
when beauty comes
and it always does

"Without Horns You're Not Born"

worlds were born
gods were torn
how in the hell
to not grow horns
let the lion get the deer
           the deer curses you
           let him away
           vise-versa true
the tall trees
have the same goals
so how do they call
when they're sawed
to make man's white walls
           well I read the word
           horns have emerged
           they can be heard
           crying, why does evil endure?
a gift is no gift at all
hopefully they'll find out
           before they fall
imagine if say
if the Garden stayed
the metabolic parade
never would be made
so save your scorn
without horns you're not born
because idle contentment
would have swept everyone away

"Calling God Out"

adult dolls in plastic walls
enacting for all
why the serpent crawls
then have the gall
at every fall
to look to the heavens and call
           out comes God
           like it or not
how in heaven did you earn
when everwhere you turn
           people are burned
when will we ever learn?

well God smoked his cigarette
said, ya already did
y'already did already did
he covered a cough
then wondered off
to wherever God wanders off

not two days missed
when a Christian and an atheist
competed in verbal logic
           well one said this
           and one said that
until these very words were spat:
it's your God's greatest tool
who are you to tell Him what to do?
six days seven days
who's counting anyway
too ugly for you?
who are you
multicellular clump of goo
and thank God it's true
for without this
you'd never exist
because those before you came
would never have changed
the death
and ugliness
and sloppiness
brings about bliss
because without it
you'd sit stagnant
           and content
not in his image

"the outlets you sow"

lookin' at lightbulbs
can let you see magical things
magical magical things
I weave my own path
on the outlets you sow
especially the ones you don't know
those outlets are my own
           well things
           have a cause and effect
           and blindness I'm
           getting used to it
           everything
           has cons and pros
           don't you know
we can connect
the semiconductor can be unbent
just using
your index finger and thumb
and squeezing like hell
squeeze
squeeze the motherfucker
           and now
           everything
           slides in the wall
           so nicely

"He wore the aviators cool."

He wore the aviators cool. Big yellow motherfuckers.
sometimes
everything you know
seems so clear
so loud as a radio show
I'm always listening
I'm always caught up in it
           but scramble vision
           static storm of snow
           it's a blizzard out there
           I'm cold
           so cold
           looking for warmth to hold
                      my skin's sinking in
to not let the wet in
                      I'm cold and wet
                      will you stop it
           stop it
stop it
will something simply stop it
the show what does it know
what does it know
it knows nothing
I refuse to surrender my soul
to what that show concludes to know
anymore
it's awful

"scientific and specific"

growing up scientific
           and specific
ponderingly pacific
as the television drones on in the other room
tuned to a tune to be bloomed in a tomb
and paul
pouring over pages of tales tall
in a couple fleeting focal thoughts
and it doesn't bode well
           for humanity or sanity
           laughing loudly
           canned we see
           anything at all
           to forget a fall

******************

"star swimmer"

the antagonist
to your practical protagonist
is the sense of insincerity
in sounds to hear and sights to see
must we lust then trust
to have our heartbeat bust
with the striking strife
of the striving knife
           oh enemy, says she,
           again, yet get me
           carving the chest
           so the heart
           can be hardened apart
           more easily for every start
the enemy pits his friends 'gainst me
Satan and God and the sweeping sea
sweeping me
underneath only
where old monsters
and rooted dull pacifivity can breathe
           swim
           swim hard for the stars
           upward and upward
           soar more toward
           the bright lights of life
           simmering somewhat dully
           until ye
           break through the surface
