Lingering Lack of Satisfaction

******************

"Soup in Loving Devotion"

this tomato soup for you
my peanut butter lover
with apricot
against the grain
anything but plain
and I maintain
a loving devotion
to the motion
sweeping me sweeping me
sweeping me
as I imagine and exalt
in how it must taste
seeing your face
smiling up at me
           dear I love you
for I know not how to
there's no control
so here's my soul
as desert sliding down your throat
           row row row your boat
           gently down the stream
           merrily merrily merrily merrily
           life is but a dream
or so it seems as I lean
and shine in your beam
beaming beaming me up
to I don't know what

           so sweet that soup
           I lift to you

******************

"Starshine"

starshine in your eyes
a big white ball in your big white ball
reflected in the dark part
bordered by the most fantastic colors
as you glance back at me
and back at our maker saying something's strange
something's funny about the whole situation
orange, red, and yellow bellow
and you try to show
how it looks, you know,
weird
           and
           I
           like looking in your eyes
but glancing upward
I sorta see something strange, I think
and my eyes turn to catch your eyes
the color unperceived
for constrictions cause restrictions
but
slowly I see it again
           the color, that is

"Gravitating Satisfaction "

The hunter and the bear
           circling in the air
           a certain sensible summation
           lingering lack of satisfaction
                      always
           always existing
until
           other spirits of the sky
           pull their points wide
           so they no longer
                      fly in formation
it's not a why
but a matter of time
pupils wide eyed at the sky
if you take in
what's reflected right at you
don't adjust your head
twenty-three degrees west
                                 look
                                 right
                                 where
                                 ye eyes lay
and don't look away

"Rabbits and a Carrot "

without the carrot
           dancing in front of noses
rabbits can be rabbits
           and friends again
but soon as both see a carrot
that their stomachs are head over heels
then rabbits are rabbits
and teeth can be made for meat
                      but
                      this
is not exactly how it goes
I believe there were not blows
           thrashing or wielding woes
           oh no
we merely hid our rabbit heads
                      deep inside our rabbits holes
because we want that carrot
and god damn if we share it
           how do rabbits
           handle it
when teeth and claws make carrots disappear

"Teeth Tearing Cells"

teeth tearing cells
           saw it down
           saw it down
           saw it down
           the top trees
           saw 'em down
because sunlight can't sneak
           can't sneak past the
big fat stacks of green leaves
                      connected to the tallest
                      suffocating the smallest
discussion of reformation
is like dreaming of damnation
                      oh the devil's so cute
                      he can be changed
                      with removing the throne
that's corrupted in the first place
all the misery
because the big trees
soak in more sun
than they need
           than they need
                      and
           they refuse to share
           because that's not fair
           to those who work
                                 for what they get
           fairness brings about bareness
                      in a cell
                      with steel bars
teeth tearing cells
           saw it down
           saw it down
           saw it down

"Adam Don’t Know He’s Adam "

people practice pagan religions
                      but it ain't the sun
                                 it ain't the sun
blankly expressed stares in the air
           nobody's aware
                      that they're breathing oxygen
call the coffin-man
put me on the sixty-year plan
           men who don't comprehend
           nor understand they're man
                      why stand when sit
in the shade away from the rays
                      it's nicer that way
it's nicer that way they say
doesn't anyone inside want outside
no there's something that shines at nine
but it's so nice outside
that's alright that's alright quiet now it's nine
                      well coffin-man
                      don't you understand
                      I wanna lie down
                      in the sixty-year plan
                      then when time is sound
                      we'll get around
                      to going
                                 underground
worms worms they're gross and green
so slimy and sick swear I'm gonna scream
dirtying your feet on that dirty concrete
didn't you and your mother ever meet?
                      I say let's swim
                      get ripped take a dip
           the heat
           the heat
           I can't breathe
           the heat
           the heat
                      don't you wanna swim?
           no no
the water's probably too cold anyway

"Wisconsin’s Rolling Hills "

You know
and you go
on and on and on
like Wisconsin's rolling hills
           let me check the past
           guess that opinion didn't last
           a few paragraphs later
if you read between the lines
why can't you remember where I'm going
when I've told you a million times
           you're going rapid fire
           about your desires
           your wanted and you're wired
           to be this way
           so what can I say
           other than inquiries
           to direct it another way
i got you
going on and on and on
about something now
like Wisconsin's rolling hills

"Hips for Me?"

noticing my
           noticing nonverbal cues
                      is direct
                      and correct
even when it's ambiguous
music playing dancing shaking hips
           hips for me
                      for me?
I think she's dancing with me
                      she is
           that look
                      and smile
           it's certain she is
I'm beginning to trust my brilliance
Like the Good Lord commanded David
But I'll also be as Jesus
with no bathing Basheba
                      I'll slay the giants
but with that sling and rock
                      brought to you by Metaphorical
well, I can tell you
my mind shows discretion and discrimination
but my behavior mimics procreation
           multiple mimics of multiplication
                      and the elation
                      is to know
                      Mary Magdalene
                      her beauty shows
                      outside in the sunrise
                      dress overhead
                      and we were wed
                      and believed it
and I noticed all along
those nonwords radiating
something significantly magnetic
your expectations are so strong
so I expect the best
and get what I wish

******************

"The Warmth"

You feel so warm
burning in the chest
I wanna touch you
I wanna touch you so much
it's so cliché but I love you
you're so wonderful
you deserve to be hugged
                                 the warmth
                                 is significant
                                 to understanding the moment
melting into this
bliss and nothingness
I'm so thirsty
you're so thirsty
let me drink from your lips
because we're so warm
burning in the chest

******************

"The End"

pleasant lips and easy smile
dandy as flowers drinking shine
this friend of mine
seemed so beautiful
I wondered why
I didn't try
to become more nigh
and maybe
maybe
maybe we'll slide into one
in lightness and grace
forever and ever
the end
