lateralus, quite possibly the greatest album ever created, is the work, or shall i say art, of the band tool. maynard james keenan, who declines and shys away from the spotlight, is tool's master vocalist. adam jones, whom some say is the heart of the band, provides one-of-a-kind guitar riffs that many try to immitate. danny carey provides exceptional rhythm to tool with his sacred geometric drum patterns. justin chancellor, the replacement for paul d'amour, is good. yeah, that's all for him (watch the movie rockstar... i bet he goes through that all the time).

lateralus was released on may fifteenth 2001, and you can be sure i purchased it that day. ever since, it has lived up to its hype.

i parody the album with the name "adderallus" being that i was on adderall at the point of purchase and the rest of the month. adderall has been known to cause false esteem and the like, aiding to its intense motivational input. it leaves you with a sort of quixotic feeling.

aside from adderall, however, lateralus is a landmark in music history to me. schism indeed deserved the grammy it received, but i was disappointed at the lack of any other grammy nominations. lateralus still remains underrated in pop-society. one of these days, however, it will break through.

so without further ado, here is lateralus analyzed up to your asshole.
