and when mist surrounds my slow-beating core and when desert flames embrace my tongue and when ebony solitude loiters up my spine and when cold cerulean enlightenment yields to veinal hostility and when warm regret dissipates in seconds and when rain floods my compassion and when distance and time blackens my heart and when my intuition meddles the self-evident and simple and when loathing wraps crimson energy around my love and when dark light seeps into air which it doesn't belong and when grudges form barriers of complexity and when self-indulgence runs like a river of lava and when resonant chords are struck in shame and when my thoughts betray my sight and when my heartfelt sentiments become contradictions and when apperception loses its power and when insignificant quarrels become catastrophic in my psyche and when my drowning love shudders in my fury and when my optimism is set aflame at the stake and when my euphoric dreams fall into a mirage of despair and when my silence is understood by my own respiration and when fragments of my core shatter to dust you will always be there because a heart as perfect as yours would never let a heart, so bruised as mine, down. |
