marijuana

marijuana
i have subjected myself to marijuana three times. all were by a) peer pressure and b) curiosity. the first time i did it, i hated the fact that i had to inhale something poisonous to my lungs, heart, and throat. however, when the session of smoking was over, it kicked in when the person i did this with emptied the bong water in the backyard. i experienced short-term memory loss severely. i repeated the phrase "whoa, i just woke up again" several times, being that it was what it felt like. on the contrary to popular opinion, i did get "stoned" my first time. all i really remember is a pudding cup being thrown at me, and i believe playing a boat-racing video game. this was november 1999.

the second time i did it was december of 1999. it was the first time and only time i smoked with a joint. i experienced precisely the same thing as i did before, however, i caught myself singing nine inch nails's "march of the pigs" all the way through without any music playing. the best part was the various christmas lights i saw while walking down the street.

the third time i did it was in february (or march, i forgot) of 2000. i promised to my (now ex) girlfriend i wouldn't do any more narcotics, but i was very depressed at the fact my parents were going to get another divorce, so i decided to smoke again with the friend i did it with the first time. we smoked it in the woods this time, and i became very paranoid of this house not too far away. i felt all the same effects yet again, yet with more paranoia and hallucinations. when we trekked back to my friend's house, i thought i was in vietnam. i talked on the phone over at my friend's house to a girl in new mexico i met online. she was a nice friend. all i remember is me asking "hello?" and her saying "ya'll are stoned, aren't you?" i laughed my ass off, because she's smoked pot so much she can tell right away. i told her not to tell my (now ex) girlfriend.

all in all, smoking pot is no big deal. do it if you want. it's not damaging to any part of the brain. it's a new experience, and it's not dangerous. it should be legal... it's much safer than cigarettes.
