Ringnecks are a
visually stunning bird as there are a lot of colours that you can breed from
them. The other benefit is there are a lot of breeders and information on
them. If your just starting out with Asiatics these birds are easy to obtain.
The only obstacle with these bird is that there are that many mutations out
there, and your starting out you have to spend a lot of money to catch up to
the higher class mutations. But if you want run of the mill birds such as
greens, Lutinos, blues, albinos and grays these birds are at reasonable prices
for you to obtain. I have eight pairs only a couple of pairs at home the
others are been lent, like most breeders you don’t want to get rid of good
breeding pairs.
