In Bruce Almighty, we definitely see a different side of Jim Carrey and I don't mean that in a bad way.  We see a much more dramatic, loving Jim Carrey, this role not only impressed me but it seemed to impress the audience. Topping The Matrix at release and keeping steady with X2, this movie was not only laugh out loud funny but it was a bit of a tear-jerker....not for me of course.

Overall this movie didn't disappoint me at all but the fact that Universal put pretty much every single comedic sketch in the trailer, did. Even though seeing the scene in the movie was much funnier, it ruined what could have been a much funnier movie. I think they could have said "Jim Carrey as God, May 23," and sold just as many tickets as showing all the funny parts in the trailer. 

Verdict: Carrey hysteria and a tough combating love plot kept me going. Worth seeing on bargain matinee day.
