In this 2003 remake of the 1969 British heist film, a
world mastermind played by Mark Wahlberg creates a crew or men and women
to heist a gold bullion in Venice, Italy.
I wasn't too impressed with the acting and the fact they used Charlize
Theoron as the safecracker since the pint sized Mini Coopers had more sex
appeal than her. I think the only reason they used Theoron is because her
father was in the original flick. Oh well....The Italian Job did
have it's own flavor, it was well choreographed and original, especially
the crazy chase scene consisting of all mini-coopers. Overall, I think The
Italian Job was badly cast and hyped up way too much.

Verdict: An okay flick if you really like it's grounding
but I recommend renting Ocean's Eleven instead. |
