History of Falling Explosion

Falling Explosion began with a band Fiber Optics. Chris and I were apart of this band. He was on drums and I was the vocalist. But as just about all garage bands do, we hardly practice. Chris and I really wanted to make music, so I picked up a guitar and we just started playing together.
We really didn’t start writing anything do to lack of a P.A. system. When I finally got one, we started to write. But as all garage bands we were poor. So when I got the P.A. I didn’t have money for a mike stand. But being such thrifty people as we where, we used a 6ft latter (the feedback on that was fun). I had the mike attached to the paint can holder part of the latter. The only problem was the fact that I was a little taller than the mike. So I used a pop can to prop it up. It was all balanced nicely. But someone every rehearsal would take the mike off the latter, throwing the balance off, making the (full)pop can fall and explode (hence the name).
On a side project I was apart of a punk band the Ushers, or the Movie Theater Rejects (we never decided on a name). The band was Mike O’Brian(Guitar), Dan Patterson(Drums), Maggie Davidson(Bass), and myself(Vocalist). Anyway we had some good practices, but then things just didn’t seem like they were going to work. So we dismembered and I asked Maggie if she wanted to join up with Falling Explosion and that’s how she became our basest (well when she shows up).
11/19/03 - Well Maggie is out of our band. As soon as Dan gets a Bass, he will most likely be joining us. As for now, Chris and I our jamming and hopefully we will have a set soon.
06/27/05 - Well at lot has happened... A year ago, we had our first show! It was so accelerating to be up on stage. We had practiced every other day that week. John Lucaus added his bass to our band the week before the show. He did a good job with the songs and all, but he had no moment on the stage. We don’t blame him for it at all, because he had joined our band the week before. So all the judges cemented on how he was frozen. The day of the show we had just finished the song “Hollow Echos” an hour before we hit the stage. We did six five songs which full filled the 25min. The judges were amazingly bias. None of them were metal fans, and it showed. We didn’t do a perfect show, but even if we did, we probably would have gotten the same scores. The band that did win, was the infamous Forth Gear. So congrats to them.
We’ve been jamming after that day till about January. We finished an new song, bring the count up to six. Then Chris had made himself hidden, John sort of grew away from the band, and went back into the one he was still apart of. So we’ve been at a stand still for a while.
This week we’re picking it up again. In the stand still, I’ve finished a couple of songs and most of others. So we should be cranking out with new songs. We plan to do at least one show by the end of summer.
Well that’s our history for now, nothing much. But we’re just starting out so it will expand.
