A humble Renault 19 1.4 Energy, before the amazing transformation, undertaken entirely in Paul's head on a Thursday afternoon.
The completed Renault 19 Rally Monster, ready to rally as seen in Paul's pot-addled brain after an afternoon's hard graft. The entire conversion, including a modified engine from a "mate's" written-off Lancia Delta Integrale took just seven hours. During this time, Paul did not rise from his armchair, but through a thick cloud of B&H held court with four somnolent acquaintances who heard in agonising detail the exact nature of the conversion.

Never one to withhold information, the details of construction were imparted to anyone still listening thusly:

  • Buy an insurance write-off rear-ended Renault 19.

  • Weld to other end of front-ended Renault 19 (or 21)

  • Remove seats

  • Fit drilled pedals

  • Cover in stickers
