Producing the Ultimate German Shepherd
Our German import bred German Shepherds are healthy and have excellent temperaments as family companions. All the parents hips and elbows are OFA certified and eyes CERF. The Draggahaus extensive 30 month written health guaranty covers all health and temperament problems. We have produced shepherds that are excelling as handicap assistant service dogs, physical therapy and animal assisted therapy dogs. Draggahaus shepherd pups have not only grown up to be family protection dogs, but are also successful at Agility, Obedience, Schutzhund, tracking and herding. Our dogs’ natural instincts are prevalent in the three phases of Schutzhund: Obedience, Tracking and Protection. Draggahaus German Shepherds are intelligent, have sound structure, confidence and beauty. A German Shepherd Dog should be neither shy, fearful, aggressive nor vicious. Above all, our shepherds are compatible family members. We are small hobby breeders, not your typical large breeding facility. None of our dogs live in kennel runs. All Draggahaus shepherds play in the yard together, sleep in crates or stay out in the house at night. We are striving to improve the breed. Our GSDs are members of our family, and spend time in our house as companions.
Draggahaus is a lovely ten acre farm. Our GSD puppies are born and raised in our home, and are exposed to normal daily activities. They grow up with kids, horses, cats, chickens and are well socialized. The pups are handled from the day they are born and are puppy temperament tested before matching them with the right family. Draggahaus produces: Black and Red/Tan, Sable, Black Bi and occasionally we have solid Black German Shepherds. We only breed to and from dogs that are sound in structure and temperament. We love all our dogs and hope you will too.
The pedigrees on all Draggahaus shepherds are quite impressive. We own multiple dogs with Sieger winning parents. Most countries hold a National Conformation Championship each year called “The Sieger”. All the nation’s best dogs are evaluated on their physical structure and movement. Each dog must have the Schutzhund I, II, or III (a three phase working title: obedience, tracking, protection) to be eligible for the Sieger Conformation Show. A judge writes an evaluation of each dog noting the good and poor structural qualities and movement according to the universal German Shepherd conformation standard. Of the hundreds of dogs that compete in each National Championship, there can only be 2 winners- the best male and female German Shepherd. The male is pronounced as the coveted “Sieger” and the female is the “Siegerin”. The most prestigious Sieger show is the German Sieger, called the Bundessieger. The Bundessieger is the World Championship.
