What led to the formation of Hate Plow?

Boredom, myself, Larry, and Rob formed Hate Plow right after Malevolent recorded our Stillborn CD. I was very displeased with the recording and needed to do something different. The result was the first incarnation of Hate Plow.

Who did you find to take over the drumming duties? (Editor's Note: original drummer Larry Hawke passed away since the album's recording of smoke inhalation due to fire in his home)

For touring purposes we have our good friend Lee Harrison of Monstrosity helping till we can find a permanent replacement.

How did Larry wind up in jail?

Larry was in Jail tons of times, but the reason he went away for a long time was because he fired several shots at 9 people with a shotgun, luckily no one was killed.

In the liner notes to Everybody Dies, it is stated that "These songs are real stories. Names have been changed to protect the guilty." Can this be taken to mean that you have encountered the individuals in the lyrics first hand, or are they just based on real-life events you have heard about? Either way... you've got to tell me the story behind "Ass To Mouth Resuscitation..."

Yes the songs are stories about one of us or good freinds of ours. They are quite hillarious! Ass to mouth is about those shit eating weirdos we've seen on videos and some fetish shows down here in Florida were we are at, that shit's fucked up!

What is the story behind "The Pepe Lopez Song?"

It sounds like some Mexican kind of music and their was no name for it, and our engineer kept calling it "The Pepe Lopez Song." So that's what we called it. It's hardly a song though!

How do you feel Hate Plow weighs up to Malevolent Creation? Is there something you can express in Hate Plow that you could not in MC?

I think Hate Plow is as brutal as M.C. if not more brutal. M. C. has always been more serious. Hate Plow is just really fun!

What are the top 5 death metal albums of all time, in your opinion? Any albums you have heard recently that have impressed you?

1. Slayer - Hell Awaits 2. Dark Angel - Darkness Descends 3. Slayer - Reign in Blood 4. Death - Scream Bloody Gore 5. Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness. The only other band I heard lately that I liked was God Dethroned.

What is the one album in your collection that a death metal fan might be shocked to know that you own?

The best of Jim Croce. I think he rules!

What is your opinion of black metal?

I like Marduk, Dark Funeral, Immortal, Cradle of Filth, Satyricon... not much more than that.

Do you make your living doing music? If not, what is your other occupation?

I could if I toured constantly but I have more prioites to deal with. I also own a recording studio.

I am not sure if you are aware, but we cover pornography right along with music in this "publication," interviews with porn stars, film reviews... the whole shebang. Are you a fan of pornography? Any favorite stars or films?

Porn is good. I don't know much about any stars of it though! ("Sure Phil!" - Clayton)

How do you feel about the current state of Metallica?
I lost interest after Justice for All. They have completly become gay now!

Grinding, headcrushing, relentless, painful!
Is the status of Hate Plow contignent on other projects yourself (as well as other members) might be involved in or is it an entity unto itself?

It is an entity unto itself. I will definitley find time to continue this band.

If you had to eat either a pound of solid shit or slug down a pound of nasty fucking diarrhea, which would you choose and why?

I would have to go with diarrhea because I'm an alcoholic and I can drink just about anything.

Hate Plow is a band who's name perfectly describes what you are all about... serious levels of unbridled hatred. Are you as pissed as it might seem when writing the tunes? Who writes the majority of the lyrics?

Were not pissed when writing these songs, just really stoned or drunk. Kyle (vocals) writes the lyrics.

Are you completely happy with the outcome of Everybody Dies? Is there anything you would like to change in retrospect? Anything you might have done differently?

I'm completly happy with the CD. It totally crushes!

Any new Hate Plow tunes written since the album? If so, what are some of the titles and ideas behind them? Does the material differ from what is on Everybody Dies?

A few tunes so far. No titles yet, the new material will probably be even heavier.

Has Hate Plow played live? Any plans to tour in support of Everybody Dies?

We played two shows so far in Florida. We plan to tour the U.S. as well as Europe this summer!
