another place and time
another place, another time I might have kept walking on an hour or more, I might have skirted wide of home, whereas now I am bound homeward only. another place, another time the above grey might have accentuated monotony, rather than infusing appreciation for the sun. another time, another place the windy rain and wet below me might have felt more oppressing and the luster of passing puddles, dull with sadness but alive below the surface, might have matched the searching color of my eyes. I might have breathed differently another place and time, gasping under night skies hoping the stars would whisper sweet life into my soul. I might have seen this differently some other place, some other time. Conceived July 2003
