The Measure of Earth.

"And i saw in those days how long cords were given to those angels, and they took to themselves wings and flew, and they went toward the North. And i asked the angel, saying unto him: 'why have those angels taken these cords and gone off ? ' And he said unto me 'They have gone off to measure...' (Book of Enoch: Chapter 61 )

The major symbolic monument of Mesopotamian culture had been the seven step ziggurat such as that at Babylon, if one reads off the value of the seven inlaid squares in the illustration the sum total will be that of 1176, which is the total of the sum of intergers of 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, it can also be seen that this schemata gives off readings for the orbital periods of Venus and Earth in terms of days, ie Quadrant B=224 (Venus orbit=224.7 days) and Quadrant C=364 (Earth orbit=365.25) so these are excellent symbolic indicators.

Furthurmore Quadrants A+C=448 (224 x 2) and B+D=728 (364 x2), so the number of 1176 can be seen as a doubling up of 224+364=588, an Earth/Venus synodic period.

364/224=1.625 is the key ratio of the Earth/Venus relationship.

The inner and most sacred courtyard of the Temple Scroll idealised sacred precinct had a perimeter value of 1176 cubits, the outer value of each of the four walls being given as 294 cubits in length, thus 294 x 4=1176 perimeter, the same figure of 294 would also of course be the mean value of the four quadrants/faces of the seven stepped monument.

The sum total of the seven stepped monument is also the sum total of the numer of hours in seven times seven days, that of 1176 hours as 49 x 24=1176.

The gates of the Temple scroll precinct were of three per side around the outer wall and middle walls, and each of these measured 14x28 cubits, thus with an area of 14x28=392 square cubits, the three of these per side thus had a combined value of 1176 square cubits as 392 x 3=1176.

The Hebrew cubit would be seen as being broken down into twenty subdivisions, just as units of currency and weight in Israel were also in subunits of twenty, thus each wall of the inner precinct court was of 294 cubits, or 5880 subunits which equate with an inch, thus 294 x 20=5880 inches per side, which can be translated as 490 feet, 5880/12=490.

Each wall was 294 cubits or 490 feet, with a perimeter value of 1176 cubits or 1960 feet (490 x 4).

The 20/12 measure relationship is as that of the Ark of the Covenant, being simply 2.5/1.5 x 8.

Where the true significance of this is revealed is when the sum of intergers of 7,920, the Diameter of the Earth in miles is set out.

If one takes off a simplified readout of the sum of intergers of 7920, then the two values of the vertical axis give off the figure 1960 according to the first four intergers.

If one takes off a simplified readout of the sum of intergers of 7920, then the two values of the horizontal axis give off the figure 1176 according to the first four intergers.

The vertical axis thus gives off a reading of 1960, the horizontal axis that of 1176. These figures are also directly related to key periodics used in Israel, these being the periodic of 40 days or years, and that of the 7x7=49 Jubilee periods which again were in terms of years or days. A period of 49 days would equate to 1176 hours (49 x 24=1176), and this period of 49 days would end with a climactic 50th day festival, so 50 x 24(=1200 hours) would be the summation of this symbolic figure.

With this in mind it is imprtant to look at the numbers 1176 and 1200 in terms of their differential relationships.

The cumulative number 1200 having been seen as 50 x 24 (as in terms of number of hours in a Jubilee period), then the cumulative number of 2000 is arrived at in comparison as 49 x 40=1960, whilst 50 x 40=2000. Thus the two key Israeli periodics are utilised for this number, those of 40, always indicative of a period of trial, and that of 50, indicative of celebratory culmination and ingathering.

Thus 49 x 24=1176 culminating in 50 x 24=1200

Thus 49 x 40=1960 culminating in 50 x 40=2000

The numbers of 2000/1200 of course being raised values of the 20 inches per cubit/12 inches per foot systems of measure. Looking at the sum of intergers of 1960 and 2000 in terms of differentials...

The two simplified deductives seen with the differential of the two which is 50 broken down into two sub-units of 25.

This of course gives an exact reading as could be obtained from the Breastplate of Judgement derived from the tribal structure.

The same method gives a regular readout for the sum of intergers of 1960 set against its cumulative increment of 40 which was seen as being neccesary to add to reach the number 2000. Whilst the number 1176 relates to 7 x7=49 (in terms of 1176 hours in 49 days), the number seven relating to a quarter moon period of seven days, the numer 1960 relates to 14 x 140, the number 14 relates to the number of days of a full moon. So both seven squared and fourteen squared are relevant factors in understanding some of the complex symbolism involved, though also the planet Uranus is set at 196 units of 9 million mile units from the Sun, or 49 full 36 million mile units.

Whilst it was seen that the three gates each side had a square area of 14 x 28=392 cubits and the three gates per side a combined value of 1176 cubits, obviously each gate is also 2 x 196 (14 x 14) cubits, and the combined value of gates per side thus 6 x 196=1176.
