Smart and athletic I may be
Words are hard to say
Simple words are like daggers in my side
Words from the heart may be strong
Yet I can not say them
Why?
Am I afraid?
Why do words cause so much damage?
A few things can mean the world to someone
Only if I could say them
I would be happy
Yet they build up inside me
Trying to escape
Only to be held back
When one finally escapes
There is no one around to hear it
All the struggle in vain
Y do I do it to myself
With words no one will ever hear
Do they do any good
Only time will tell
