INGREDIENTS

Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry

Guava Preserve etc... See Variations

 

 

Method

 

Disengage the sheets of puff pastry and gently smooth out the folds. Do no over handle the dough.

 

With a very sharp knife, make cuts across the sheets in a tic-tac-toe- pattern yielding 9 squares per sheet.

 

Place a teaspoon of filling in the middle of the square.

 

Fold down the top corner to lower corned enclosing the filling and forming a triangle.

 

Press all around the two open edges with a fork to seal tightly w/ a fork.

 

Place the pastries on a cookie sheet, but not close or touching one another

in order for them to puff up.

 

Brush the tops w/ a simple syrup using a pastry brush.

 

Place in a 350º oven on the middle rack. Bake 20-30 minutes (to puff) till golden brown.

 

**Note

The less you handle the pastry sheet the more it will puff.
