Atrim 1518

What can I say? Angus Trim is simply the best. This light XIIa is everything one could ask for in a high-performance weapon, and much more. I cannot get my head around how he is able to remove so much weight from his blades, yet give them almost supernatural cutting ability. This 1518 is the absolute epitome of sublime handling. It is freakishly light, yet slices through targets with authority. Christian Fletcher's green grip and scabbard are shockingly rich and the leather is ubertight, and the sword fits perfectly. But words cannot accurately describe this masterpiece. Pictures aren't much better, though here are some. For the true Atrim experience, she must be held, swung, and cut with.

Here are the stats:

Steel: 5160
Weight: 2 pounds even (this high-performance version is 2 oz. lighter than standard)
OAL: 39 5/8"
BL: 31 1/4"
BW, base: 1 3/4"
PoB: 4 3/4" (~3/4" further out than standard)
CoP: ~20"
Grip Length: 6"
Cross Type: Spike
Pommel: New scent-stopper (2 oz. lighter than standard)

Now, on to the pics!!!

The "before" photo (thanks to CF for taking the pic)

Just out of the box!

The hilt. The flash makes the green look much brighter than it really is.

Down the length.

Blurry closeup of the tip.

Side view. Albion shows lots of shots from this unique perspective on their site.

This is a good example of what the actual color is. Perfect shade of green!

Down from the top...and my shoe.

Bad quality full-length shot.

Another good true-color shot.

The lone scabbard...kicking myself for not getting the "historical" version, but I'm so poor!

Just had to take her apart and see her guts.

Glowing like Glamdring, or just reflection from the monitor???

Relaxing after a long photoshoot...

...and all her enemies lay in ruin at her feet...

I have the power!!!

Just for fun- my two most favorite pieces of metal.
