Charles Alan Brewster is young man who loves monster movies and horror films, from the biggest hits to the cheeziest low-budget bombs.
He lives with his mother, Judy...has a girlfriend named Amy, and his best friend is "Evil" Ed. He lives in Rancho Corvalis, Iowa and goes to Christopher L. Cushing High School.

When Charley realizes his new neighbor Jerry Dandridge, is a vampire...he's not sure who to turn to.
No one he tells believes him.
So he turns to the only person he can...Peter Vincent, the Great Vampire Killer.
Charley soon finds that the has-been movie actor only thinks he is insane and does'nt believe his story either.

Charley asks Peter Vincent for help!

Amy and Ed go to Peter Vincent to ask him help them prove that Dandridge is not a vampire, before Charley kills him.
With Dandridge's assistance Charley's friends and Peter fake a vampire test, Proving that Jerry is not one of the undead.
Peter however, discovers that Charley was right.
Dandridge makes Ed a vampire, sends him to kill Peter, and kidnaps Amy.

Charley and Peter go to meet their destiny!

Ed fails in his mission and Peter is traumatized.
Charley makes a plea to Peter in helping him save Amy, The aging actor refuses, gripped with fear.
Peter changes his mind and shows up at the Dandridge house to help Charley.
With the Help of the vampire killer, Dandridge is destroyed and Amy saved from an existance as one of the undead.
