PULP TALES PRESENTS #35: UNDER THE MOONS OF MARS and Carter of the Red Planet
Written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, creator of Tarzan of the Apes, under the pen name of Norman Bean (which was a typographical error for Normal Bean), "Under the Moons of Mars" was his first professional story, published in 1912. It follows the adventures of John Carter of Earth and Dejah Thoris of Barsoom (Mars). In 1929, a condensation of the story was published in Modern Mechanics and Inventions.
