A COLUMBUS OF SPACE
With its very impossibilities made almost convincing by sheer force of the
author's pen and the breathlessly interesting manner in which he tells the
story, it is like the tales of Jules Verne. The hero and his friends make a trip
to the planet Venus, using the power of interatomic force to propel their craft.
They find on one side of Venus an exalted race of people and on the other, cave
dwellers--two races unknown to each other. Fully illustrated.

THE SECOND DELUGE
This is a story of intense interest from beginning to end--it deals with the passing of the earth through a water nebula. Cosmo Versal, scientist, became convinced that the earth would be covered with water to a depth of six miles. In other words, the globe would be covered to a depth as great if not greater than occurred in the Biblical deluge. He built an ark and picked his company for the proposed long voyage, taking about 500 of both sexes, and also animals. With the final floating of the ark amidst a torrential flood and what happened to the majority of the people on Earth, will be answered by reading the book. Fully illustrated.

THE SKY PIRATE
FIRST TRADE PAPERBACK PUBLICATION:
Helen Grayman, daughter of a New York billionaire, is dressing in her room, when a noise is heard outside of her bedroom window. Her maid, Susan Jackson, opens the window, thinking the noise was made by a pet cat. Instead of a cat, a man, Captain Alfonso Payton, a noted sky pirate-the time is June, 1936-enters the room. The two women are placed on his aeroplane, "Chameleon", and abducted for a ransom. Sky pirates had occupied the attention of the public for some time and their deeds had been very daring. Captain Alfonso is one of the most daring. He is a Spanish-American, handsome and refined. Helen thinks it a prank arranged by her friends. The captain tells her he is Commodore Brown, of the Washington Aero-Yacht Club. After an all-night trip and half a day they arrive at their destination, in the middle of a thick woods. He tells her her friends will be there later, his aero was faster than theirs.
