In New York James L. Brooks heard her sing in "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" which led to a casting in the feature film "I'll Do Anything," with Nick Nolte, at which point she relocated to the West Coast. In L.A. she then had a string of television spots.
