"There can be only one".... They are immortals, destined to live forever. They must duel down the ages until only one remains. Only decapitation by sword can release them from their age-long battle for an incredible prize - power beyond imagination...

This is probably my all time favourite movie which has spawned a further three sequels plus a great T.V. series which starred Adrian Paul who stars in the 4th Highlander movie.

This is the best film in the Highlander series for the simple reason this is where all the ground rules revolving around the immortal themes are set out.

The film also stars Sean Connery who plays Lobos Ramirez the suave mentor of Conner Mcleod, You also get to meet in my opinion the greatest villain ever to hit the big screen " The Kurgan " played brilliantly by Clancy Brown, simply an awesome film..." who wants to live forever"...

Sleeve Notes for the Highlander films.

Highlander

There can be only one... They are immortals, destined to live forever. They must duel down the ages until one remains. Only decapitation by sword can release them from their age-long battle for an incredible prize - power beyond imagination. From the Scottish Highlands of the sixteenth century to present-day New York, they war for the Prize, while the fate of mortal man hangs in the balance.

Highlander 2

Years after battling the Kurgan in Scotland and New York, Connor MacLeod and his suave mentor, Juan Villa–Lobos Ramirez, are back, tracking time–warps and new adventures in this all action sequel, again directed by Russell Mulcahy. The Kurgan may have been vanquished – remember decapitation is the only sure way of being killed – but now there are new and more powerful foes to counter in an even more hostile world.

Highlander 3

The third Highlander movie takes place ain 1994, which means it's a prequel of the second film. After the death of his beloved wife Heather some centuries ago, Connor MacLeod left the highlands of Scotland and wandered around the world. Finally, he got to Japan, where he met the famous sorcerer Nakano, who was an Immortal too. Soon, they became friends, and Nakano taught Conor some tricks. But one day, an old enemy, Kane, came to Japan willing to find Nakano's cave and kill him. Although he succeeded, after cutting Nakano's head the mountain collapsed and Kane was trapped. Now, centuries after, an excavation reveals Nakano's cave...

Highlander 4 Endgame

For the next electrifying chapter in this wildly popular action-packed legacy, Highlander - Endgame teams big-screen star Christopher Lambert with Highlander TV series star Adrian Paul. To combath the fearsome Highlander villain and his ruthless band of Immortals, Connor (Lambert) and Duncan (Paul) join together in a power play for the ages. But even though it will take the combined strength of two Immortals to win this fight, in the end there can only be one. Bold, exciting and tremendously entertaining - you don't want to miss this epic struggle of good versus evil.
