Here's how the actors are picked for the chart:
(a) They have to have appeared in a main role in a film released in the UK in the past 12 months.
Please understand that this is not an official list and try not to get too angry if your favourite actor isn't as high up on the chart as you would wish. The list contains both movie stars and character actors, so there may be a few people that you have never even heard off! I've created a discussion group for this website where I would love to hear your feedback on the site. I will also accept your suggestions on actors that are missing from the top 100.
The chart doesn't rate the actors in terms of who is the best (that would just be too bloody hard) but in terms of who seems to be succeeding the most recently both critically and commercially.
This website is currently under reconstruction, hopefully be back up soon with an all new and improved Top 100. See you then!
(b) They have to have appeared in at least 5 films in the past 5 years.
(c) The positioning of the actor depends on the quality of the movies they were in and the quality of their performances.
