HOOOAH! Guess who joined the ARMY? That's right. GrEtA LyNn !

Yes it's true. On September 27, 1999 I held up my right hand and vowed to defend my home, the greatest nation, The United States of America.

I am currently located at the beautiful Fort Gordon Georgia where I am training to be a communications expert with the military occupational specialty of 31 poppa. After this training I will attend airborne school and jump out of perfectly good airplanes, and get paid for it! That's always something I wanted out of life, to be daring and courageous. I used to attend Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Florida. I know you probably have not heard about my school. This is because it is relatively new. You can however, check it out at http://www.fgcu.edu.
It is 2 hours south of Tampa and nearly 2 hours northwest of Miami.
As a new University, they don't have too much to offer. But I did take advantage of the offers that were given. For instance, I was a member of the Student Government Senate for two consecutive years. I was also the 1st competitive female athlete in my entire school last year in the sport of waterskiing, entailing wakeboarding and ski jumping as well. We went to competitions with colleges around Florida such as Florida State University, University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Eckerd College, Florida Southern College, University of West Florida, and random others throughout The Sunshine State.

I was born at the lovely Woman & Infant Hospital located in Providence, Rhode Island. My early childhood days were spent on Roosevelt Avenue in Pawtucket, RI. "GO PAW SOX"
I then moved to Rutland, Vermont when I was 6. I miss the serenity that the mountains gave me and the escape to the wild that four wheeling gave as well. I still keep in touch with friends in VT.
Then I moved to Naples, Florida when I was 12. Florida was a huge culture shock but I was able to to adapt well to the beach parties and palm trees pretty easily.
I finally ended up in Fort Myers at the age of 18, the summer after graduating high school. That's when the whole college thing erupted and died. I wanted more adventure and travel out of my young life. So the Army called me and I signed out of school and into army greens. I have come a long way so far. I've learned so much about myself. I'm not trying to sound like a recruiter but I'm serious. I have become a better person out of the whole ordeal and I have a different approach to pride and discipline.

Some of my favorite past times, are listed below, some of these things that I even have to sacrifice now because of the Army...

A little about my personality:
I am very easy to get along with. I am certainly open-minded. I seldomly complain. I love to travel and meet new people. Maybe someday I will get lucky & find someone who is identical to me, who wants the same things as I do out of life. All I want for now is fun, excitement, touring the world, living large, doing the unexpected and spontaneous, and making a difference! I am basically asking for all the beautiful things that life can give me. I am determined to strive towards these things and choose to work hard for them!

When my wild life (vida loca) has simmered down, I hope to marry and become a mother to at least three children, who will play an intricate role in my life.

If someone can show me how to put some interesting stuff up here, let me know how please!!! Oh yeah, and don't forget to email me! I check it at least one a week so I will write ya back soon
